Rhine Romanticism

The Rhine Romanticism Exhibition boasts of a unique collection of 19th century prints. A complete  history, spanning for more than a hundred years of this important artistic genre, is vividly conveyed using  scenic images of Bingen as its central theme. Vitrines with beautifully illustrated Rhine books from the 19th century invite visitors to travel the Rhine. The gallery is complemented by magnificent rooms fitted out with  original 19th century furniture.  

Whether you find yourself standing  in the Biedermeier room, or the Salon of the Goethe period with its impressive  giraffe grand piano,   or perhaps the Wilhelminian period salon, you're bound to feel a wave of Rhine Romanticism wash over you.
