Wine experience for everybody

This year the Tourist Information Office has arranged a wine experience for individual guests on specific dates. The wine tasting takes place on the dates below at 6.00 pm. 3 wines and 1 sparkling wine (bread included) will be offered and the cost is €9 per person (not less than 6 persons).

Other additional services (soft drinks) are available for extra charge.

Please register 8 days before the date at the latest.

Wine-tasting experience

Experience Bingen wine quite intensely. A vintner in Bingen will guide you through the world of wines and explain all about how the „Rhoihessewoi“ (local dialect for Rheinhessen wine) is made. You will be able to taste six wines, from a QbA quality wine to an Auslese wine, accompanied by fresh bread.

EISEL Supper

Bingen and wine belong together. That is why the vintner greets you with a glass of dry wine at the Tourist Information Office and accompanies you through the Leitergasse and past the old synagogue via Burg Klopp (Klopp Castle) to Eisel. Of course on the way you will have time to sample various wines. In front of the Eisel vineyard there will a sumptuous vintner supper, and the last wine will be presented. In addition to considerable information about Bingen you will go to the vintner’s home and there you can have an insight into the life of a vintner.

Round trip through the vineyards

Who has never wanted to know how grapes are grown and wine is made? Do not miss the opportunity to go with a vintner into the vineyards and taste
the wine that is grown there.

You will be collected from your hotel (within the town) and received with a glass of sparkling wine. Then you will go by covered wagon with the vintner
through the vineyards and taste the wine with rustic stewl. After return to the vintner‘s home a rustic vintner supper will be served. Then the return drive to the hotel.

The Rheinhessen taste 

A culinary wine-tasting with ten carefully selected wines and a tasty plate of goodies. 
The food will be on a platter, arranged and served clockwise, in order to pay due honour to the harmony between Rheinhessen wines and food.

Wine makes history come alive

Romans, authors, poets and saints, robbers, tradesmen and conjurers: all of them were in the old merchants’ town and have left their marks. Schinderhannes, Father Rhine, the Loreley, Goethe, St Rochus, vintner assistants and farmers’ wives. Who will welcome you?

In ordinary clothes or in a cassock, in verse or prose, in minor or major keys. Be excited. The culinary travel through time begins. Stories and anecdotes about the old wine town Bingen on the Rhine. There you will see carts used to transport food, wine and bread. The meal that follows is in the vaulted cellar at the Haferkasten.

Fiery Vintner's Night

Experience Bingen wine also at night. There is a special atmosphere during a torchlight procession to a bonfire in the hillside vineyards, where a fire made of twisted old vinestock will warm you up, and where six wines will be introduced and tasted. In order to take full advantage of the romantic evening in the vineyard, afterwards there will be a splendid barbecue.

You will be collected from your hotel (within the town) and be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine at the vintner’s home. Afterwards there will be
a torchlight walk to the Bingen vineyards and a bonfire. There you will taste six wines and enjoy a barbecue afterwards. After returning to the vintner’s home you will be returned to your hotel.

Humorous wine-tasting "Wine and Song"

Experience a wine-tasting of a very different kind and enjoy an unforgettable evening with our vintner, Oswald.
