Bingen active
Bingen is the gateway to the Unesco World Heritage “Upper Middle-Rhine Valley” and is at the junction of four tourist regions, and it is an ideal place for excursions in all directions. Within an hour’s drive (or by cycle) there are many things to see and do, and all of those places can be reached by rail.
Directly on the motorways A60 and A61 there is an immediate connection with Germany’s largest waterway, the Rhine and it is also close to the airports in Frankfurt/Main and Frankfurt/Hahn, and that makes Bingen an ideal place for a holiday. The cities of Mainz, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Koblenz are less than an hour away, and Bingen is also favoured by people in the vicinity as a place for relaxation. Especially for active holidaymakers the Unesco World Heritage “Upper Middle-Rhine Valley”, with its castles and narrow, romantic river valleys, the Nahe valley and Rheinhessen and Rheingau are wonderful regional destinations.
